System Requirements

New Child PIP v4 Users
New Child PIP v4 Users
For sites with no previous Child PIP data or installing software on a new computer for the first time.
- Create a dedicated folder
On your hard drive, create a dedicated Child PIP folder (e.g., “C:\Child PIP v4 Software”).
- Option 1: Download the complete Child PIP package
Download the complete Child PIP v4.2.7 package [click here].
This ZIP contains all files below — unzip and save them to your new folder.
- Option 2: Download files individually (You need 4 files)
Download Child PIP Setup 4.2.7.exe [click here]
Download Duplicate-checking-tool-v4.2.7.zip [click here]
For Windows 7–10 (especially 32-bit systems)

- Install the software
First – Install SQL Server (required only once):
Windows 7–10 users: Run [SQLEXPR_x86_ENU.exe] and follow the [Installing SQL Server 2014.pdf] guide.
Windows 11 users: Install [SQL Server 2022] using the [Installing SQL Server 2022.pdf] guide.
Second – Install Child PIP software:
Run Child PIP Setup 4.2.7.exe and follow the instructions in the [2026 Child PIP v4 User Guide].
- Duplicate checking tool (future use)
Keep the tool in your folder for future use (not needed immediately when starting fresh).
Unzip [Duplicate-checking-tool-v4.2.7.zip] into your Child PIP v4 Software folder.
Run Duplicate-checking-tool-v4.2.7.exe when ready.
Read the included README.txt carefully and refer to the [2026 Child PIP v4 User Guide] for handling any duplicates.

Always keep your software updated for bug fixes, improvements, and compatibility.
- Before updating
Perform a full backup and export of your existing data (essential to prevent any loss).
- Create a folder
If not already done, create a folder on your hard drive (E.g. “C:\Child PIP v4 Software”).
- Option 1: Download the full updated package:

Unzip the file and save the files to your created folder.

Windows 7–10 (32-bit) users: No SQL Server reinstall needed.
Windows 11 users: If not done already, update to [SQL Server 2022] using the [Installing SQL Server 2022.pdf] guide.
- Install the new update
Run [Child PIP Setup 4.2.7.exe] in the downloaded files.
This performs an update — your existing data remains safe (assuming you backed up!).
The same Child PIP Setup 4.2.7.exe file works for both new installations and updates.
- Duplicate checking (recommended periodically):
Unzip [Duplicate-checking-tool-v4.2.7.zip] into your Child PIP v4 Software folder.
Run Duplicate-checking-tool-v4.2.7.exe.
Follow the README.txt and consult the [2026 Child PIP v4 User Guide] for resolving duplicates.
